YATRA-PASHCHIMALAP AT AMITY


The sports department of Government of Gujarat, Youth and Cultural department, Gandhinagar along with Bharuch district administration and Western zone culture centre, Udaipur organised A National level Music and Dance Cultural event “YATRA-PASHCHIMALAP”on 8th March,2018, at Amity School, Bharuch to display the folk culture and tradition of western India. Almost 100 performers from western regions- RAJSTHAN, GUJARAT, MAHYA PRADESH, MAHARASHTRA, GOA and DIU-DAMAN performed on the stage delegating the culture of their region in front of 1500 spectators.

Mr. T.M.Patel (Mamlatdar of Bharuch) chaired the function as the chief guest of the evening. Along with him Mr. Naishad Makwana (District Education Officer), Mr. Shyamu Pandor(District Sports Officer), Mr. Hemant Mehta (Program Officer,Western zone culture centre,Udaipur) Mr. Ranchhod Shah (Managing Trustee, Amity Educational Campus) also glittered the event. 

The program saw performances of various descents. To start with, Rajasthani tribe “LANGA and MANGNIYAR” presented a song basically sung during any festival. Next was the famous Rajasthani dance “KALBELIYA” which showed stunts that amazed the audience to the extreme extent. To reflect Gujarat’s prosperous tradition of Bhavai “KERVANO VESH” was performed. From Mahrashtra came “LAVANI”, Goa brought “SAMAI” and “DEKHNI” dance and “RAI” was from Madhya Pradesh. 

Towards the end of the show “BHAVAI” from South Rajasthan was presented .The Dance form consisted dancer balancing up to seven or nine brass pitchers as he danced nimbly, pirouetting and then swaying with the soles of his feet perched on the top of a glass or on the edge of the sword. There was a sense of cutting edge suspense and nail biting acts in the dance.

Bharuch city will remember such a show for a longer time just because of its variety and diversity.

REMINISCING OUR PLEDGE

Amity School, Bharuch celebrated India’s 69th Republic Day on 26th January, 2018 in the school ground. The nationalistic commitment warmed up the wintry morning as the teachers, parents and children of the school enthusiastically gathered to hoist the national flag. Today’s children develop the correct sense of ultimate citizen and get ready to follow the fundamental duties, with these best wishes this auspicious day was celebrated. The programme was chaired by Dr. Minal Dave (Asst. Prof. - J.P. Arts and Science College, Bharuch) who unfurled the tricolor ensign. Students pledged their allegiance to the flag and promised to carry their nation to greater heights and achieve success in various walks of life. Amity School Bharuch shines at the Scholarship Examination organised by State Education Board, Gandhinagar.

To encourage and motivate young talents and to push them towards their prosperous endeavours State Education Board, Gandhinagar organises several scholarship examinations at different places. Where meritorious students are offered scholarships on a monthly basis. This not only helps them in their academics but also give them confidence in moving ahead by increasing the sense of self trust.  33699 students from all over Gujarat appeared for this exam out which 214 were from Bharuch district at Primary Scholarship Exam where 14 students bagged merit position. Of which 3 students were from Amity School Bharuch: - PATEL PRUTHVI P (1 st in District) - JADAV ANUSHKA B (8 th in District) - PARMAR JIYA P (9 th in District) 26096 students from all over Gujarat appeared in the Secondary Scholarship Exam out of which 182 were from Bharuch District where 33 students reached the merit level.
