AN EVENING DELEGATING ONENESS
Amity school and Vishwagram- Nachiket
trust jointly organised ‘KABIR GAAN AND SUFI SAMVAAD’. A cultural and literary
programme diligently organised, full of soul that was vibrant, contagious and
exuberant.
Loving
Heavenly Father! We long for your peace that passeth all human understanding so
that our life in this world would be filled with joy and happiness. Lord, you
are the prince of peace and you said blessed are the people who make peace and
they shall be called your children.
Kabir Gaan and Sufi Samvad is an attempt to find human connections, our connection
with Nature and with Love. Amity school, Bharuch witnessed a similar aura by
becoming an eminent part of such a programme. The programme was chaired by MR. ARIF MOHAMMED KHAN (former cabinet minister, thinker and prolific writer), SHRI SHABNAM VIRMANI(An
Internationally recognized filmmaker, singer and artist), SHRI VIPUL REEKHEE(a poet, fiction writer, translator and
singer) ,MR DHRUV BHATT (a
renowned Gujarati novelist and poet )and MR. HARI DESAI
(senior journalist).
After the
welcome session of the chief guests we took a step forward and unveiled the 68th issue of MAITRI SETU our school magazine on ‘BEHAVIOUR
SPECIAL’.
Further Mr.
Arif Mohammed Khan conversed on how we humans have divided ourselves according
to our religions and neglected our deeds, which should actually be the true
meaning of our living. This shall decide who we are and what we are. He accentuated
on the philosophy of KABIRDAS, which
said True
God is with the person who is on the path of righteousness, considered all
creatures on earth as his own self, and who is passively detached from the
affairs of the world. Mr.
Arif Khan heightened his message of communal harmony by taking several examples
and some verses from the holy Quran. His
speech acted as an appetizer for the whole programme.
Following
this Shri Shabnam Virmani and Shri Vipul Reekhee continued the evening with
their soulful voice. They sung different dohas of Kabirdas and explained the
meaning of each simultaneously. Songs in Hindi, Rajasthani, Bengali and
Gujarati were presented which held the same motto of HARMONY. Mr. Dhruv Bhatt
volunteered on explaining the lines sung in Gujarati and Shri Shabnam Virmani
repeated the phrases in her beautiful voice which energised each and everybody
sitting in the audience to sing along.
The audience
appreciated the beautiful tunes and the programme was concluded with a vote of
thanks and National Anthem.
